Course Information
Description Understanding music through the study of cultural periods, major composers, and musical elements. Illustrated with audio recordings and live performances. (Does not apply to a music major degree.)
Prerequisites None
Learning Outcomes Summarize the elements of music as related to historical trends.(PSLO 1; 3)

Summarize the development of different music styles as related to cultural trends.(PSLO 1; 2; 3)

Summarize the different historical period music related to major composers. (PSLO 1; 3; 4)

Attendance Policy For every three classes missed, the student will lose 5 points off of their final grade.
